An illegal, unlicensed, and unregulated gambling operation that claims to be a “social casino” that offers “sweepstakes promotions.”  These alleged sweepstakes promotions allow players to redeem “coins” for real cash, which makes the sites illegal gambling.

Some prominent examples are Chumba Casino, LuckyLand Slots, Modo Casino, Global Poker, High 5 Casino, and Golden Hearts Games.

Yes!  They copied the “sweepstakes café” business model which police, prosecutors, judges, juries, and state legislatures all define as illegal gambling.  Online sweepstakes casinos satisfy all necessary requirements to be defined as illegal gambling operations.

Sweepstakes casinos make this claim to try and continue operating and earning millions of dollars through their illegal operations.  But, despite any claims that “no purchase is necessary” or that the “Sweeps Coins (SC)” are given “for free” when purchasing “Gold Coins (GC)”, the laws are extremely clear; these sites are operating illegally.  Consumers pay money, play games of chance to earn more money (in the form of SC), and redeem wins for cash – the law defines that as gambling.

Depending on your state, yes!  Many states have laws that allow gamblers who lost money to illegal gambling operations sue to recover their losses.  These laws have existed for hundreds of years and exist to protect consumers and also punish the operators of illegal gambling operations.

Please go to our states  page and see if our network of attorneys operates in your state.  If you have any questions about the specific laws in your state, please contact us and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.

Yes!  Operators like VGW (Chumba/LuckyLand/Global Poker) and High 5 have already paid multi-million-dollar settlements or judgements!

Loss Recovery Law itself is not a law firm and we are not attorneys. However, we work very closely with attorneys to help the victims of sweepstakes casinos recover their losses. We do that by providing educational information to the public and recommending attorneys who can litigate and seek compensation for victims who have lost money to sweepstakes casinos.

Initially, no records or documents are necessary.  However, it is extremely helpful to have the records of all purchases/deposits and redemptions/withdrawals.  As a part of the intake process, we will ask you to contact the casinos themselves to obtain these records.  The casinos tend to provide this information very quickly with no stress at all.

Each sweepstakes casino has its own process for opting out of arbitration.  Please contact us, specify for which casino you wish to opt out of arbitration, and we will explain how to do so!

Not necessarily!  It is our belief that these arbitration agreements are illegal and should be unenforceable.  Courts have the discretion to void these arbitration agreements for violating state gambling laws and public policy.

Also, even if forced to go to arbitration, the law is still on your side and there is still the possibility of recovering your losses!

No!  Any attorney we recommend will work on a contingency-fee basis.  That means the attorneys will only be paid if your case is successful and they will only be paid after the case is resolved.  You never pay a single penny up-front!

No.  Also, no attorney in our network can guarantee a result either.  But, depending on your state, the law is on your side and the attorneys will not take your case unless they believe the case has merit!

It depends. Each state has different laws, with different statute of limitations. Some states even force the casinos to pay 2x or 3x the losses. For more details about the laws in your state, contact us for a FREE CONSULTATION  today!

In certain situations, yes.  There are litigation-funding companies that can invest in your claim and/or advance you cash that you repay only if you win or settle.  Loss Recovery Law can recommend investors to help you obtain this kind of financial support while your claim is pending.
